One of the main goals set for ROSPHOTO is to realize research projects and raise skill levels of those whose work is connected with photography, i.e. curators, conservators, restorers.

Besides our work in the field of development of depositary monitoring systems and normalization of photo documents storage conditions, we provide visitors’ access to images and we have elaborated a series of practical tutorials designed to raise the skill level of specialists working with photography. This series combine information on art aesthetics, on chemistry and technologies of photo materials as well as data on work with museum funds and archives.

Practical tutorials on restoration and conservation of photographs are supervised by qualified specialists. These events take place in the ROSPHOTO laboratory which provides modern equipment and expensive restoration materials.
