The conference is dedicated to the full spectrum of actual problems connected with the preservation of photographic collections and with the use of photographic image in exhibition practice.

The conference has been held annually from 2005 and is dedicated to the full spectrum of actual problems connected with the preservation of photographic collections and with the use of photographic image in exhibition practice. This year ROSPHOTO expands the traditional contingent (museum employees) and invites representatives of archives and libraries, restorers, members of research groups, employees of companies developing and producing museum and archival equipment, expert equipment, photographic monument conservation technologies, museum climatology.
The conference is the essential part of the Document Preservation Program aimed primarily at photographic documents within the state archives of the Russian Federation. The Program is coordinated by ROSPHOTO which is its scientific and technological center by the order No.226 of 04.12.2008 of the Ministry for Culture of the Russian Federation.
The important part of the scientific program will be the Russian-French seminar on the history of early French photography(1840-1869-ies) prepared together with Clémentine Foundation (Paris) and included in the official program of France -Russia Year.
Applications are accepted before 1 October 2010. Application must bear data on the participant (first and last name, date of birth, educational background, job title and full name of organization represented by the participant, contact details) and the theme of speech.
Conference will be followed by the publication of its materials.
